I’m Ebony Walden, an author, filmmaker, speaker and consultant who moves through the world with curiosity and courage.
Anchored in my experiences traveling across 50 countries and six continents, my work is an invitation to see differently, live boldly, and step beyond the limits you’ve been given.
Travel is a portal to transformation. Come, journey with me.
In 2010, Ebony quit her job and traveled across five continents and fifteen countries in eight months — volunteering, backpacking, and writing “Where I’m From” poems with new friends around the world.
Part travel memoir, part coming-of-age story, Where I’m From explores family, identity, connection across continents, and the beauty of becoming.
I create visual stories that center Black life, culture, and connection across the African diaspora, capturing everyday moments alongside deeper historical and cultural currents.
“Season One of Black Beyond Borders is excellent storytelling—bold, vibrant, and visually compelling.”
